TURMERIC MOTHER

Turmeric from Sri Lanka is widely recognized for its exceptional quality and high levels of curcumin. Our turmeric is grown naturally in small mountain valleys around the city of Kandy, and is hand-harvested in December. The roots are then washed and gently dried before being ground and packaged for us.

Turmeric has a fruity aroma and a lovely floral flavour with a touch of tropical sweetness and a hint of citrus and ginger. It adds a mild, delicious spicy flavour to curries and stews, dhal, paella, marinades and pickled vegetables. Also try our turmeric in baked goods such as spice cakes and snickers, as well as in desserts.
