Genuine Sri Lankan cinnamon is also known as Ceylon cinnamon, Ceylon Cinnamon or Cinnamomum Zeylanicum, and is widely recognized as the world's best cinnamon. Quite simply. Our cinnamon comes from cinnamon trees that grow side by side with tropical fruit trees and spices in wild forest gardens around the town of Matale, about 25 km north of Kandy. The cinnamon bark is hand-harvested and dried, then pounded immediately before being packaged for us.

It gives the freshest, most intensely sweet and delicate flavor with a slightly spicy aftertaste. Cinnamon really comes into its own in the sweet kitchen for all kinds of baked goods, cakes, desserts and ice cream, but also try it in chai and tea or in curries, stews, marinades and spice blends.
