Pumpkin spiced pumpkin


INGREDIENTS

1 Hokkaido pumpkin
2 tablespoons sunflower or rapeseed oil
1 teaspoon fine or flaked salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg or ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground or whole cloves
freshly ground black pepper


HOW TO DO IT

Turn on the oven to 175 g hot air. Grate the nutmeg and crush the cloves in a mortar if you are using whole cloves. Mix all the spices in a bowl. Wash the pumpkin, split it, scrape out the seeds and cut it into slices about 3-4 cm thick. Brush the pumpkin slices with oil and place them on a baking sheet with baking paper. Sprinkle with the spice mixture and salt and bake in the oven for about 30 min. until they have a golden surface and are tender. Serve the baked pumpkins as an accompaniment to simmered dishes or as a filling in an autumn salad.
